Rounding Up the Lost" December 25, 2002 edition of the ProRodeo Sports News: Rope Myers and Kory Koontz admitted to a group attending a recent "Get Tough!" Men's Conference in Amarillo, Texas, that they use their status as professional cowboys to help them talk about their religious faith. The pair spoke at the Cowboy Church & Arena of Life. The "Tough" stands for Transforming Ourselves Unto God's Handiwork. "There are those who do it full time who are the hell raisers and have kind of the cowboy image," Myers told the crowd. "The thing is, their seasons are pretty short. The way it's set up, you have to be fairly dedicated, and so it works out that the ones who have the basic Biblical principles for being successful tend to be the ones who win." Sept. 2002: Rope was invited by Christian Athletes International to go on a mission trip to Uganda. 2002 OLYMPICS: Rope won the gold medal in the Steer Wrestling event.
