Rope on Horse 2001 ended on the top
2002 started on the top...

It looks like a Professional Rodeo Cowboy can win a lot of prize money. But, it takes a lot of money to get to those rodeos. For just the Wrangler Circuit Series Program, each of the PRCA's 12 regional circuits includes 10 specially designated rodeos. It takes making points and prize money at as many rodeos as a cowboy can get to and enter.

Candice with Rope There is no doubt a thrill of Victory when one wins the event and even the World title. But there is also agony in defeat. Those steers aren't always gentle, the long hours and the long miles aren't either. It has taken God's strength and provisions to see me through. I thank Him for the patience and love He has shown me not just in His blessings but those He has put in my life. Our faith in Him has given my family the strength and patience to see me to the victory of the 2001 World Champion Steer Wrestler title and the 2002 Olympic Gold Medal. Their support has carried me through all the victories and the defeats.

Help praying It takes a lot of miles, a lot of entry fees, travel expenses and a lot of persistence to be able to wrestle a steer down in 4 seconds or less. My family and I appreciate the sponsorship of Wrangler and individuals who have donated to what we do. Their faith and belief in me has encouraged me to be all God has asked me to be.

Every bit of support that I get goes not only to my professional rodeo career but also to help put on Steer Wrestling Schools and Ministry Outreaches centered around rodeo. If you would like to become a sponsor please contact me and I would be glad to tell you about it.
